Shaykh Abu Rabi 'ibn Sabih al-Saadi al-Basri, (may Allah be pleased with him
(Second Century A.H)
He was
a submissive narrator. He was a resident of Basra but settled in Sindh. He
took part in jihad and entered the land of Sindh with the Mujahideen of Islam
(spiritual fighters of Islam). You are one of the first Muslim writers of Basra.
He
was very devout and pious. Hazrat Sufyan Sauri and Hazrat Imam Shafi'i, Imam
Muhammad's teacher Hazrat Raki were his students.
Shaykh
Abu Hafs Rabi 'died in 160 AH. The shrine is located a short distance from
Gaju town of Thatta district.
Apart
from Sheikh Abu Hafs Rabi, the following followers also came to Sindh and
Balochistan. Some of them died here.
