Khawaja Nizamuddin Auliya Shrine Dehli India
(May Allah Have Mercy on Him)
Birth: 636 A.H, (1238 A.D.) Death: 725 A.H, (1325 A.D.)
Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Auliya (may Allah have mercy on
him) was born in the city of Badaun (India) in 27 Safar 636 AH. His real name
is Muhammad bin Ahmad Ali Bukhari.
The lineage of Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Awliyya goes
back to Hazrat Ali (RA) and Hazrat Bibi Fatima Al-Zahra (RA) through fifteen
lines. His ancestors had come to the subcontinent from Bokhara.
He completed his education in Delhi and 655 A.H,
presented himself before Baba Farid Uddin Gunj Shakar at Pakpatan city, and
entered his circle of disciples became his lieutenant, and was permitted to
make his own disciples.
During his time seven different Kings led Dehli, from
time. Sultan Alauddin Khilji had two sons become his disciples. when Sultan
Moinuddin Kaokobad established a new city in the vicinity of Ghayaspur; nobles
and court ministers began to throng to him.
This annoyed him greatly and he wanted to go into
seclusion but gave up the idea on the advice of the holy man.
Because of his grace and blessing, an all-pervading revolution took place in society. Thousands became his disciples and their morals
and character attained purity and honesty.
He fell ill in 725 A.H. When the illness became more
severe. Sultan Muhammad Tuglaq sent the Royal Physician to attend on him. He
looked at the physician in silence and told him in a feeble voice that "He
knew his death was near" His tomb situated in Dehli India, is visited
by the populace.
