Can
you guess how much time people spend on mobile phones every day? It's hard to
believe, but people around the world spent an average of one-third of their
time in 2021 looking at mobile phones. According to a new study by App Annie,
in 2021, users around the world spent a record 3.8 trillion hours working on
mobile phones. The study said that overall, 2021 was a record-breaking year
during which people continued to adopt the mobile lifestyle and these devices
were immersed on the big screens.
Specifically,
the time spent on video-sharing app TIKTOK increased to 90% globally compared
to 2020. Theodore Currant, CEO of App Annie, said that mobile is the device of
the future and big screen monkeys are dying. The study found that 170$ billion
was spent on mobile apps globally, 19 percent more than in 2020. Similarly, the
app download rate increased by 5% in one year and a total of 230$ billion
downloads were made.
In
particular, they received 194$ billion orders for food and beverages in 2021,
which is 50% more than in 2020. The study also found that the time spent
watching video streaming apps increased by 16% compared to before the Core and
Virus epidemic. The company said that despite access to the big screens, people
are watching content on mobile and the competition in this field is increasing
and special content is being developed to attract new viewers. TIKTOK has been
the most popular app for users, followed by Facebook, Facebook Messages, Voice
App and Instagram. On average, TICTOK and Facebook users spent 19.6 hours per
month, but TIKTOK stands out because in 2020 it was 13.3 percent.
