The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has introduced a mobile application
The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has introduced a mobile application named "Drug Shortage Reporting" for the first time in the country to address the shortage and unavailability of medicines. According to the information, through this application, not only will information be obtained about the shortage of medicines but it will also help identify which city is experiencing artificial shortages and hoarding.
The application, known as "Drug Shortage Reporting," is kept very simple, and it can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. To file a complaint through this application, there is no need to create an account. However, complainants are required to provide their personal information such as mobile number and name. Information such as the city's name, the name of the medicine, and its dosage, i.e., the type or strength of the medicine, will also be required to be provided.
Through the mentioned application, individuals in various cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Jacobabad, can file complaints regarding the shortage of medicines. Although the application can be downloaded throughout Pakistan, it has not yet been introduced in all cities.
In addition to allowing individuals to file complaints, the application also provides information about drug inspectors in various cities. However, information about drug inspectors from all cities is not immediately available. Furthermore, the application offers an option to check the status of your complaint, which means that after filing a complaint, users can check its status after a few days.
The "Drug Shortage Reporting" application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
