Summary of Quran Surah Al-Lail 92 The Night

Summary of Surah Al-Lail 92 (The Night)

Surah Al-Lail emphasizes the contrast between those who do good and those who reject guidance. Allah swears by the night and day, highlighting the diversity in human efforts. Those who are charitable, mindful of Allah, and believe in the finest reward will find an easy path, while those who are stingy and deny the truth will face hardship. Wealth will not benefit those who reject faith. Allah alone guides and controls both this life and the hereafter. The surah warns of the blazing Fire for the most wretched but assures salvation for the righteous, who give in charity sincerely for Allah’s pleasure, expecting no worldly return. Their reward will be ultimate satisfaction in the hereafter.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Hadith Number 472.

Sahih Bukhari Book 60. Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an [Tafseer (Commentary) of The Prophet (PBUH)].

Narrated By Ali: We were in the company of the Prophet and he said, “There is none among you but has his place written for him, either in Paradise or in the Hell-Fire.” We said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Shall we depend (on this fact and give up work)?” He replied, “No! Carry on doing good deeds, for everybody will find easy (to do) such deeds as will lead him to his destined place.” Then the Prophet recited: ‘As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah, and believes in the Best reward. We will make smooth for him the path of ease--- the path for evil.’ (92.5-10).
