The first and basic or scientific problem of human life, or rather the basic questions about human life itself, are as follows:
Who am I?
Where did I come from?
Who sent me?
Did I come on my own, or was I sent?
And where will I go after this? What is my destination?
Who is the being that created me, and what is my relationship with the one who either sent me or caused me to be born into this world?
What is the purpose of my existence in this world?
Should I contact this entity? Or can I contact this entity? How can I connect with it?
Will the person who connects me to this entity be a reliable source?
Why did Allah send His messengers?
What was the purpose of sending the messengers?
These are the fundamental questions that a person seeks answers to.
Details:
All the things that Allah Almighty has created in the universe. We must take work from them, or I should worship them. For example, Allah created the cow to drink its milk it or to honor or worship the cow, I have to serve the cow or I will take help from it. And what are your thoughts and ideas about all other similar creatures? Therefore the question arises in this regard, Man has to serve them or take service from all of these creatures.
Now the difficulty is how will a person answer these
questions correctly? Because today there is one type of answer, tomorrow
something else. The answers to these questions are varied in nature. For
example, I answered something but you answered something else, and if you
answered something today, tomorrow is something else.
There is no satisfaction in any answer. The man seems
helpless to understand or answer these common questions. What is the human
brain? What is his concern and what is his consideration? Actually, we are
slaves to our five senses (sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch).
To answer these questions, but also to examine other matters
of daily life, we need these great senses. Unfortunately, these sources are
incomplete and limited, and they are also deceptive.
Sometimes we have illusions. A thing is huge but looks
small. For example, the Sun and the Moon are seen as two round plates, but in
reality, they are both very large worlds.
Sometimes things seem big and sometimes things seem small, but the reality is the opposite. Sometimes things never exist but can be seen, this is called illusion. For example, you see water in the desert, but in reality, there is no water.
Sometimes things seem big and sometimes things seem small
but the reality is the opposite. Sometimes things never exist but can be seen
it is called illusion. For example, you see water in the desert but in reality,
it is not there.
This shows that the information given by the five senses
of man is not correct and is limited. For example, I can hear to a certain
extent; I can't bear to listen anymore. And I can see up to a point, I can't
see much further than that.
We will be able to act with intellect and understanding
according to the information of these senses. We gather this information, then
we make connections between them and conclude them. We call them rational
foundations.
The problem is that our mind depends on these helpless
and limited five senses. Hence the results are not based on reality. On this
occasion, the revelation of Allah Almighty comes to our help.
Rather, the Messenger of Allah also comes in this matter.
And then God's prophet comes to answer all these questions correctly. And God's
messengers are not slaves to these humble, incomplete and limited five senses.
They do not speak that is based on thought, doubt, or imagination, but the
Prophet of Allah speaks directly and simply. Because the source of knowledge of
the Prophet of God is very certain and perfect.
Because Allah gives knowledge to His prophets. They are
sent to guide people. The Prophet of Allah communicates with God, so there is
no possibility of error in the knowledge of the Prophet of Allah.
This is the reason why people rely only based on the mind
and based on these five senses, their thinking, conduct, and behavior are
different. On the contrary, those who are God's messengers and give us knowledge
only based on revelation, their way of thinking, and way of life are all
different.
There is an important difference between people. People
who live only with the thoughts of the mind, depending on the five senses, do
not even trust their words or thoughts. Because their discussion is based on
assumptions and doubts.
Those who get the results are based only on reasoning,
thoughts, and the mind. These people do not agree on a single thing whether
they are philosophers or thinkers. One says one thing, and the other says
something else.
Therefore, contrary to this, the prophets of God say
anything today. They say the same even after a hundred years. Because there is
no doubt in their statement.
Because they say based on God's knowledge. When Allah Almighty began to reveal His prophets, the most surprising thing is that one prophet came to Arabia, another from Iraq, and the third from Egypt. One prophet came a thousand years ago and another prophet came two thousand years later.
There is a difference of thousands of years and thousands
of miles between these prophets of God, but their statement is based on
reality. Rather, everything in his statement is unique.
All the Prophets of Allah (peace be upon them) are saying
the same thing. They are not based on the five senses of man, which are
helpless and imperfect. And then whatever they say, they show in action, not
just talk.
His whole life is a symbol of good character. When you go
anywhere in the world because there is no region of the world where a prophet
of God has not come. And there is no nation in the world to which Allah has not
sent a Messenger.
Wherever you see the truth in human beings, for example,
any example of morality, trust, mutual love, and honesty, you will find its
source in the person of the Prophet. When you get the love and conscience of
all human beings, it will be the Messenger of God. This proved that they were
all sent by the same entity.
A person who lives only based on his mind and his five
senses is immoral and uneducated and has strayed from the right path.
The person who bestows special knowledge, faith, morals,
spirituality, love for humanity, mature character, and integrity to a human
being.
If seen from this belief, the most important need of man
is the Prophet of God. Therefore, the declaration of the apostles and the
prophethood is a great gift and favor of God. Because people are connected to
God through Messenger.
Thus man receives and accepts the message and knowledge
sent by God through the Messengers. And act on it. Therefore, the real
advantage of prophethood is that before it man was in doubt and he got real and
trustworthy wealth.
Now there is a clear and real destination before man. And
there is a way to reach that destination. And now man is ready to make every
sacrifice to achieve this goal. The Prophet brings all these people to their
original destination.
There are countless blessings in this world for human
needs. For example, houses, food and drink items, items used for the body, etc.
But man is not only the body, but the real reality is the soul.
The body is just like a garment. The real element is spirit. Allah Almighty has created many things to fulfill the needs of the body. Is it possible that Allah Almighty has not made any arrangement to understand and resolve the true blessings of the soul and the spiritual blessings? Allah Almighty has sent many prophets for this reason.
Creation of the Universe
Is the existence of the universe a coincidence, the
result of an accident, or the planning of an intelligent creator? Is this
universe eternal or temporary or perishable? In this universe, inanimate
objects, plants, and animals, and above all, how did humans come into being?
Does matter have a sense of creativity? Has everything in
this world come automatically? Did they become creators themselves despite not
being? Did man create himself? Is man operating the entire internal system of
his own will?
What do the unity, homogeneity, and generality of the
laws of nature in this system of the universe point to? Has this universe
always existed or was it created by chance? Or has it come into existence under
a fixed plan?
These questions arise in the mind of a rational person.
What is the position of man in this universe? How should he live? These things
are closely related to the above questions. Therefore, in the history of human
thought, there has never been a more important and interesting topic than the
existence of God Almighty.
Some people who deny the existence of God hold similar
views about the creation of the universe. For example, this universe has always
existed and will always exist, but is eternal. It has no beginning, at every
moment an evolutionary and creative process is taking place in it, and the
potential for this evolutionary and creative process exists in matter itself.
Some people believe that the origin of this universe came
into existence by chance. No inventor or creator has anything to do with it.
Similarly, the system of the universe is also based only on coincidences.
Contrary to these beliefs, the majority of people of all ages believe in the existence of one God and the creator and owner of this universe. All the prophets have preached this belief based on divine revelation.
One
of the most important signs of God's existence is man's own existence.
Therefore, the Qur'an states:
And
on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty. And also in
your ownselves. Will you not then see? (Quran Chapter:51:20-21).
In
many places in the Qur'an, it has been argued that man did not exist at all, was insignificant, and was created.
Certainly,
I have created you before, when you had been nothing. (Quran Chapter:19:9).
Another
place is described thus.
Has there not been an over man period of time, when he was not a thing worth mentioning? Verily, We have created man from Nutfah (drops) of mixed semen (sexual discharge of man and woman), in order to try him: so We made him hearer and seer. (Quran Chapter:76:1-2).
There is a Hadith That,
Hadith: Prophet (peace be upon him) said:" From Adam to me, Allah
sent a hundred and twenty-four thousand Prophets, of whom three hundred and
fifteen were messengers ". Reference is given as Musnad Ahmed 21257.
Quran: And verily, We have sent among every Ummah (community, nation) a
Messenger (proclaiming); “Worship Allah (God) (Alone), and avoid (or keep away
from) Taghut (all false deities i.e. do not worship Taghut besides Allah).”
Then of them were some whom Allah guided, and of them were some upon whom the
straying was justified. So travel through the land and see what was the end of
those who denied (the truth). Chapter (16:36) Surat l-Naḥl (The Bees).
Three
hundred five (315) are Messengers and Twenty-five (25) the
Messengers mentioned in the Qur'an. Five of these are ambitious Prophets, namely,
Noah, Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus (I’sa), and Muhammad. (Peace be upon them). All these
Prophets are all the way to the true destination which is only God Almighty.
Allah
has mentioned in the Qur’an that He sent messengers and guides among all people.
“Indeed, we sent in every community a messenger… “(Al-Naḥl 16:36). “There was not any community except a warner lived among them.” (Fatir 35:24). However, the Qur’an has not given us the names and stories of all the messengers and guides who were sent by Allah to various nations and groups. We have only 25 Prophets and messengers who are mentioned in the Qur’an by name. About other Prophets and messengers, Allah said, “We have told you the story of some Messengers and others, We have not …”
(an-Nisa 4; 164).
No, and Never a new Prophet or Messenger will come after
him (Mohammad PBUH). (We accept that Jesus will come again, but he will not be
a new Prophet but will follow the law of Muhammad). We only mention the names
of the Prophets and Messengers whose names have been given to us in the Qur'an
and the authentic Sunnah. But for those whose names are not in the Qur'an and
Sunnah, we certainly do not say that they were not the Prophets or Messengers
of Allah.
Allah is the destination and the prophets are the way.
Love should be done with both. If you consider the path, you will also like the
destination. Love of the path leads to the destination and love of the
destination follows the path.
That is, to follow Allah Almighty, he should follow the
instructions of the prophets, adopt the likes and dislikes of the prophets and
adopt all their ways. God will love you in return. The love of Allah is in
following and obeying the Messenger. A psychological problem is that imitation
has occurred originally and fundamentally in man. It imitates others.
For example, if you consider that children speak like
their parents, which means that children imitate their parents. Children
project the personality of their parents onto themselves. Almost all children
adopt all the styles of their parents and become role models. They almost lose
their personality in the parental figure.
That is why man adopts one or the other method. In fact,
it is called obedience to the Messenger and obedience. Until then all human
beings should only follow and obey the way of life of the last Prophet
Muhammad. (Muhammad) is the best example and argument in this regard.
In the Hereafter, all humans will be asked the same
question. Allah Almighty had given you all the blessings of the world as a
trust. For example, intellect, feelings, emotions, abilities, wealth, children,
power, etc, how did you use them? You should use all these blessings in the way
that my Prophets have taught you.
All areas of life are to be used as my prophets told you.
For example, as a head of state, a teacher, a businessman, a husband, a father,
a friend, a neighbor, etc. As the Prophets of Allah have shown practically all
these areas of life.
The method by which Muhammad (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) came to power is to use the same method. All complete
patterns are found in the lives of the apostles. If the life of the Prophets is
not adopted, everything is ruined.
Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi.
An ant wished to go to the House of Allah (Haram, Kaaba, Mecca, Saudi Arabia). Now how can a small Ant go to God's house? Because in front of an ant there will be a huge sea, desert, and mountains, how will a small ant cross all these obstacles? So someone said to the ant that this is the dove of God's house. Hold fast the feet of this pigeon. As soon as the dove flew toward God's house and reached, the ant also reached God's house.
Therefore, we should all obey and follow the Messengers
of the Almighty, so that we reach the original goal. It is the means to reach the
destination of Allah. But when the destination is near, all paths converge. All
these routes converge on the same Grand Trunk Road.
Only one channel remains near the destination. And this
great channel is the Last Prophet Muhammad. Now the only way to reach the
original destination is the Last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Therefore, following and obeying the Last Messenger of Allah, PBUH, is very
important.
In this lies the well-being and survival of humanity.
Hadith:
Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in his Musnad mentioned a Hadith (no. 21257).
“Allah
sent 124, 000 Prophets (Anbiya’) and from among them 315 were the Messengers
(rusul)”. It seems that based on this Hadith, we have this number circulated in
Islamic literature. However, there is no list of names of all the Prophets and
Messengers available. Allah knows best who they were and when or where they
lived. We only know this much that wherever there exists any concept of tawhid
(Arabic: توحيد
tawḥīd, meaning "oneness [of God]”, truth, justice, righteousness, and
virtue, it must have come from Allah through His noble Prophets and Messengers.
Also wherever there is any concept of shirk (In Islam, shirk (Arabic: شرك shirk) is the sin
of practicing idolatry or polytheism, i.e. the deification or worship of anyone
or anything besides the singular God), evil, injustice, and corruption, it must
be from Shaitan and his suggestions in the human mind.
Quran: Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Chapter (3:31) Surat al Imran (The Family of Imran).
Quran: The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from heaven. But they had asked of Moses [even] greater than that and said, "Show us, Allah, outright," so the thunderbolt struck them for their wrongdoing. Then they took the calf [for worship] after clear evidence had come to them, and We pardoned that. And We gave Moses a clear authority. Quran Chapter verse (4:153).
(Quran Chapter 33. Al-Ahzab, Verse 21. “You have indeed, in the life of Rasool-Allah (Messenger of God), the 'Best Model' for him whose hope is in Allah and the Day of the Hereafter, and who engages himself much in the remembrance of Allah”.).
The Purpose and Revelation of Prophets and Messengers:
Four
important things in the Holy Qur'an exist that, if considered together, show
that the end of Prophethood is inevitable.
First:
The first thing is that all the Prophets who came before Muhammad came to their
nation, their region, and for a specific time or period. The Prophethood of
Muhammad (PBUH) and the Qur'an is not for a particular nation, a particular
region, or a particular age or era, but for all humanity and are forever, in
other words, it is a universal religion.
Secondly,
all Shari'ah that came before Muhammad (PBUH), whatever the legal framework
was, was in the process of evolution. When Muhammad (peace be upon him) came,
it was said in the Qur'an that today your religion is complete.
Thirdly:
All the heavenly books and scriptures that came before Muhammad (peace be upon
him) were distorted and changed by the nations of that time. He made additions
and changes to them. These people made the permissible illegal and the legal
unpermissible. After the revelation of the Quran, no one can make any
additions, or alterations to the Quran. Therefore, it is mentioned in the
Qur'an that this is our advice and we are its protectors.
Now
consider, if any Prophet came in human history or any Prophet came after him,
he came for these three reasons.
For
example, the Prophet was for one region and not for another region? The Prophet
existed for a certain period of time, and when that period ended, the Prophet left.
After the coming of the last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), this problem
also ended, because Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent to all mankind.
Therefore
one Prophet after another came for this reason because the Shari'ah was in its
process of evolution. Therefore, now the religion, i.e. Sharia, has been
completed, no other Prophet is needed to complete the Sharia.
The
need for one Prophet after another arose because the people of that time made
changes in their divine book. Made additions and changes to it. Now another Prophet
was needed to correct it. Now it has been said in the Qur'an that We have
revealed this remembrance and We are its guardians. Now no one can and no change of any kind i.e. addition and alteration can be made to it.
So
all these opportunities for Prophet's revelations that were needed ended after
the arrival of the last Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Confirmation Of the Quran:
Quran Chapter: 15:9: It is certainly We Who
have revealed the Reminder, and it is certainly We Who will preserve it.
Quran
Chapter: 5:3: Today I have perfected your faith for you, completed My favor
upon you, and chosen Islam as your way.
Quran
Chapter: 3:19: Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allāh is Islām.
Quran Chapter: 33:40: Muḥammad is not the
father of any of your men,1 but is the Messenger of Allah
and the seal of the Prophet. And Allah has ˹perfect˺ knowledge of all things.
Just like an envelope is sealed, nothing else
can be put in that envelope.
21:1
The time of˺ people’s judgment has drawn near, yet they are heedlessly turning
away.
21: 107 We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a mercy for the whole world.
