Issue of women protection Causes and Solutions

As soon as a woman or a girl steps out of the house, countless eyes begin to follow her. This attitude is so common but women ignore it as part of society's traditions. Females should often wear sunglasses in public places, so as not to overlook the eyes of those who stare. It is sad to say. The incidences of sexual harassment are on the rise.

As soon as you wake up early in the morning and you open the newspaper, you will see many reports of rape, molestation, and sexual exploitation. It is as if the dignity of women is being tarnished in every city, town, and street. After reading these incidents in the newspapers, people will never be billed on their foreheads. Now they just ignore it. It is as if they have become numb in this matter. On the contrary, sexual crimes against women, which adorn newspapers and news channels, have doubled the exploitation of women. Because promoting evil, increases evil. Advertising for sex crimes has made criminals more aggressive and carefree. 

Nevertheless, what is the reason for this increase? What is the reason for that instead of taking a step towards development and improvement., society is falling further into decline? One of the main reasons for this seems to be that women are silent instead of speaking out on these issues. However, why is this, what is the reason?

The issue of women's protection has taken a serious turn:

Man and humanity have been ashamed of all these incidents. Rising sexual crimes against women have become an epidemic. The issue is whether severe punishment is the only solution. Is it enough to legislate on every important issue? This question still needs to be answered. If the rules already existed, they were amended.

Public executions of adulterers, torture, physical abuse of women by various sections of society and the public, however, the most important question is what the causes of these sexual crimes are. Unless these causes are addressed, the issue will not be resolved. If a disease is to be treated, it is very important to find out its causes and backgrounds, and then only by eliminating it can the disease be cured.

The misleading theory of equality between men and women:

Men have exploited women since ancient times. In every age, a woman has been serving-man in the form of mother, daughter, sister, and wife. However, because of her physical weakness, the man has always considered her as his servant and the object of sexual gratification. Be it the civilization of ancient Babylon and Egypt or the Arab society before the Prophet, women were deprived of human rights. She was treated badly in every way.

She was buried alive at birth. Whenever a man wanted to separate her from him, he would call her a mother. For the woman who was fed up with all these exploitations, when the Western capitalists raised the slogan of equality between men and women in their interest, she could not grow up, and the traditional woman became a puppet in the hands of the capitalists. Exploitation ended and modern developed exploitation began.

Modern capitalists needed a large number of low-cost employees to serve them. Therefore, he popularized the term Career Women in the name of equality between men and women. Because women work with more sincerity than men do, at a lower cost, with more obedience. Therefore, she was also provided maximum employment opportunities in companies. Women are often sexually abused in these companies, and not only in companies but in the workplace as well.

Alcohol and drug abuse:

Alcohol and drug abuse are important factors in the sexual abuse of women. The use of drugs motivates the adulterer and makes him miserable. Alcohol and drugs need to be banned, but the government gets a large GDP (Gross Domestic Product) tax from alcohol and drugs. Especially in western countries. Therefore, they are not ready to ban them. Alcohol is a major cause of many social evils, such as rape.

The flood of nakedness or nudity in the media:

Nakedness and pornography are a major cause of rising sexual crime. In the current era, such films are being made in the film industry, which not all members of the family can watch together. The film censor board is closing its eyes by taking large sums of money from filmmakers and allowing extremely obscene, nude, and vulgar films. TV serials and reality shows added fuel to the fire. Affair culture, alcoholism, and nudity are being promoted through TV serials. The program aired on these TV channels has taught criminals new methods and tactics to commit sexual crimes and taught them how to avoid the law and police. On the other hand, in the last few years, reality shows have multiplied the storm of nudity and obscenity. That's why watching such programs, a person's emotions come to the fore.

Failure of the family system:

If the natural needs of man are not met legally, then man takes illegal and unnatural steps. Marriage is a legitimate means of fulfilling one's sexual needs. Nevertheless, in the present time, marriage has become the most difficult task for various reasons and adultery has become an easy way of sexual gratification. Separation and divorce cases are increasing day by day due to issues like illicit sex before and after marriage. That is why the family system is in disarray, and the failure of this outdated family system has led to an increase in rape and incest.

Mixing of men, women, and the behavior of women:

The open and free mixing of men and women in schools, colleges, universities and workplaces has also led to the promotion of sexual abuse. The same mix has led to the creation of abortion centers in Western and American educational institutions. Their seniors often harass women working in the corporate sector. On the other hand, the sensitive gender itself is responsible for sexual harassment. Women's clothing, manners, and behavior also stimulate men to sexual abuse. This kind of behavior provokes men sexually. Moreover, that is what happened in this case. When some social thinkers talked about clothing, the daughter of Eve got angry at it, and they said that it is our private matter what we should wear and what we should not. What should we do and what not? Because of this, the girls were reminded that slogans like "My body My will" were chanted in their tongues.

Pornography:

Pornography spread through mobile, internet, and social media has served to promote sexual abuse as well. Pornography is a source of huge profits for the capitalist economy. Only the United States, Japan, and South Korea together make millions of dollars from this business. Besides the Internet, pornography, photos, videos, movies, and magazines are widely used for pornography. Corporate has also used beauty pageants, fashion, cosmetics industry, etc. extensively to spread pornography.

Thus, pornography removes the feeling of abuse against women from the hearts of men. Therefore, it is very difficult to stop the incidence of rape without eradicating pornography on all platforms.

Statement of Islam:

Order of the veil:

Islam does not like the free mixing of men and women and teaches to close all its avenues. While he commands men to keep their eyes down, he also allows women to show off their make-up only in front of mahram men: (In Islam, a mahram is a member of one's family with whom marriage would be considered illegal in Islam; from whom concealment of the body with a head and face covering worn in public by some Muslim women, is not obligatory; and who may serve as a legal companion of a woman during journeys longer than three days).

The Quran, refer in detail and specifically to the way a woman should dress otherwise walk in public or public places. The Quranic verse about it is, 

And tell the believing woman to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts)  and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for the necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress light veil, gloves head-cover, apron, etc.) and to draw their veils all over (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks, and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husband or their fathers or husbands fathers all their sons or their husband's son’s or their brother's son’s or their sister's son’s or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam) or the (female) slaves whom their right hand possesses or old male servants who lack vigour or small children who have no sense of feminine sex and let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg Allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful.

(Quran Chapter: 24:31).

As mentioned above, clothing is an important reason for sexual abuse. If women follow the above verses of the Holy Quran, they will be protected from such sexual crimes and exploitation.

The social role of women but to what extent:

Islam has allowed women to serve society and culture according to their education and ability. In the time of the Prophet, women have been carrying out various economic activities. However, the woman has no financial responsibility, but the household economy is the responsibility of the man and he also has to meet the expenses of the wife.

However, if the wife earns, then neither the husband nor the in-laws have any right over her. The real responsibility of a woman for whom she is accountable to Allah is her home. In this regard, the Last Prophet (PBUH) said:

Narrated Abdullah bin Umar:

Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said, Surely! Everybody of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charges: The Imam (ruler) of the people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects; a man is the guardian of his family (household) and is responsible for his subjects; a woman is the guardian of her husband's home and his children and is responsible for them, and the slave of a man is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it. Certainly, everybody of you is a guardian and responsible for his charges.

Holy Quran Says:

Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what they do. (Quran Chapter: 24.30).

Islam has determined the responsibilities of men and women according to their physical nature because the real responsibility of a woman is her home. If all the causes of adultery are overcome and still someone in this righteous society commits this crime, he will be given a special limit (Islamic law) and will be stoned or flogged according to the circumstances. After such severe punishments, it is unthinkable that evils will increase in society. The above-mentioned commandments should be made common in the world. Only then, can a woman or a girl live in peace and lead a dignified life.
