Only 5% weight loss can prevent diabetes, research

Illinois: Extensive research in the United States has found that a mere 5% weight loss can greatly reduce the risk of developing diabetes.

The study used health data from approximately 24,000 different ethnic Americans collected from 2001 to 2016, during two major studies.

The two studies, entitled "MESA" and "NHANES", began in 1999 and 2000, respectively, and continue to this day.

The study, which found that overweight and obese people had significantly higher rates of type 2 diabetes, also found that people who lost only 5% lost weight. Many of them survived diabetes.

It should be noted that obesity is considered to be the root cause of dozens of diseases including diabetes.

For many years, medical experts have been emphasizing that walking twenty to twenty-five minutes a day, exercising properly, eating a balanced diet, and adopting other healthy habits can help control obesity as well as many other diseases. Which are caused by obesity.

The study also found that the majority of diabetics in the United States belong to the middle and poor class, who have access to low-quality medical care while living in an unhealthy environment.

These are the segments of American society that are made up of non-Hispanic blacks and Mexicans. And that's why they always face racism in America.

The study, published online in the latest issue of the Journal of the American Health Association (JAHA), emphasized the need to adopt healthy foods and habits but also identified social inequality and racial prejudice as a threat to public health. They have been demanded to be eliminated.
