Hazrat Sultan Bahu Shrine Shorkot, Jhang District Punjab Pakistan 

A man who once came to ask him for some financial assistance but when he saw him plowing in the field. A man who was himself indigent would not be in a position to help him, but he called out to him and said, You have taken pains to come here. Why are you going away without meeting me? When the man approached him he asked him to plow and himself pick up a clod of Earth and struck it against the ground and the Earth turned into Gold. He then said to the man, take away as much gold as you like. 

Hazrat Sultan Bahu (May Allah have Mercy on Him) 

Birth: 1039 A.H, (1629 A.D.) Death: 1102 A.H, (1690 A.D.) 

Hazrat Sultan Bahu was born in the city of Shorkot, Punjab, Pakistan in the reign of Mubarak Shah, he was educated and brought up under the supervision of his father, Shaykh Bayazid Muhammad. Sultan Bahu did not have any kind of book knowledge or attended any educational institution, and, yet, a sea of spiritual knowledge surged in his heart. The corpus of his sayings on poetry, mysticism, and knowledge is an invaluable treasure House of Wisdom. In Delhi, he became a disciple of Syed Abdul Rehman Quadr. From Delhi, he came to Shorkot and launched upon his mission of guidance and teaching. He was the author of about 30 books. He was especially attached to poetry and mysticism. Hazrat Sultan Bahu's grave (Shrine) in Shorkot city Punjab Pakistan, is visited by the elite as well as the common man. 

ایک شخص آپ سے کچھ لینے کی غرض سے حاضر ہوا-  دُور سے جو آپ کو  دیکھا  تو آپ کھیت میں ہل چلا  رہے  تھے- یہ خیال کرکے  واپس جانے لگا کہ جو خُود محتاج  ہے وہ کسی کو کیا  دے گا۔

آپ نے آواز  دی اور فرمایا،  تکلیف اٹھا کر آئے  ہو، بغیر ملے جاتے ہو؟  وہ شخص قریب آیا  تو  فرمایا   ہل  چلاؤ- ہل  اس کو  دے کر زمین  سے مٹی  کا  ڈھیلا  اُٹھایا اور زمین پر دے  مارا  مٹی سونا  ہوگئی، فرمایا، جتنا چاہے سونا  لے جاؤ-

شورکوٹ  پنجاب  پاکستان میں پیدا ہوئے- اس  زمانے میں  بادشاہ  مبارک  شاہ حکمران تھا- تعلیم  و  تربیت  والد  ماجد  شیخ  با یزید مُحمد کی نگرانی میں ہوئی- سُلطان  باہو  نے کسی بھی قسم  کا  کتابی علم کسی مدرسے سے حاصل نہیں کیا تھا۔

لیکن اِس کے باوجود  اِن کے سینے میں  رُوحانی علم  کا  ایک سمندر موجزن تھا- فقر، تصّوف اور معرفت  پر آپ کے ملفوظات کا  ذخیرہ ایک بیش قیمت خزانہ ہے۔

دہلی میں سّید عبدُالرحمٰن قادری سے بیعت ہوئے۔ دہلی سے شورکوٹ آئے اور یہاں تلقین  وارث شاہ  کا  سلسلہ شروع کیا۔ آپ تقریباً   تیس-30  کتابوں کے مُصنف ہیں۔ شعروشاعری سے خاص  لگاؤ  تھا۔ حضرت سُلطان  باہو  کا  مَزار شور کورٹ  پنجاب پاکستان میں زیارت گِہہ  خاص  و  عام ہے۔
