Donald Trump's Social Media App Truth Social
Former US President Donald Trump has launched his social
media app to the public. Which is called Truth Social. The former US president
announced the launch of his new media company and social media platform, Truth
Social, in October 2021, following a permanent ban on social media in the wake
of a riot on Capitol Hill on January 6, 2021. Now it has been introduced to the
public, which is a very similar app to Twitter.
The app was released in the App Store for the US on
Sunday night and is not currently available on the Google Play Store. According
to Reuters news agency, some early users of Truth Social could not immediately
sign in to the app and some of them were greeted by the app with the message
that due to high demand we have put you on the waiting list. Trump is behind the app in the Media and Technology Group (PMDB). And its CEO,
Devine News, told the media that the app is not yet fully developed.
"We're offering it to the public in the App Store
this week, and we expect it to be fully operational, at least within the United
States, by the end of March," he said. In October 2021, Donald Trump said in a written
statement that we live in a world where the Taliban have a large presence on
Twitter. Yet your favorite American president has been silenced, which is
unacceptable. I look forward to seeing you soon on Truth Social. I look forward
to sharing my thoughts on Truth Social soon and fighting against Big Tech.
