Short-Term Grape Eating Reduces UV-Induced Skin Erythema
A recent study has shown that eating grapes daily can prevent
the problem of skin acidity or sunburn.
The acidity of the skin or burning of the body in the sun is called
'Sunburn' in English. Sunburn is caused by the burning of the skin by the sun's
ultraviolet (UV) rays, and there can be several reasons for sunburn.
A common cause of sunburn is skin damage, and if the problem
worsens, it can lead to skin cancer.
Millions of people in America and European countries get skin
cancer every year due to these same problems and people there try different
ways to avoid the heat of the sun.
There, experts conducted a limited study to evaluate the effects
of grapes on skin irritation, for which they recruited three dozen people.
According to the research published in the medical journal
'MDPI', American experts recruited 36 volunteers aged 24 to about 56 years to
find out the effects of grapes on skin irritation, of which 7 people left the
study incomplete. Gone.
Later, experts studied the remaining 29 volunteers and asked
them to eat about 400 grams of grapes per day for two weeks.
Half of the 16 men and 15 women involved in the study were
instructed to eat different types of grapes—red, pink, purple, and green—for
two weeks before being restricted from eating a variety of other foods and
given various tests while they Skin sensitivity to radiation was also checked.
Experts tested all the volunteers two weeks later, taking blood,
urine, and stool samples while also checking their skin's sensitivity to
radiation.
The results showed that people who ate about 400 grams of grapes
per day had increased skin sensitivity and were able to tolerate the moderate
heat of the sun for longer and did not experience any skin or burning
sensation.
While the blood, urine, and stool tests of such people were also
better than those who ate fewer grapes.
Experts suggest that people suffering from problems like skin
irritation should eat 380 to 400 grams of grapes per day, so their skin will be
able to withstand the heat of the sun.
Experts said that more research is needed on the above issue, but adding
grapes to your daily diet may have many other medical benefits.
